CORE COMPONENTS
Below you will find descriptions of what we mean by an education that is classical, collaborative, and Christ-centered.
Christ-Centered
He is before all things, and in him all things hold together (Col 1:17). The Board, staff, and families of Classical School of Dallas are united in affirming our Statement of Faith and recognize Christ’s supremacy in all things. Classical is discipleship-oriented in its mission, partnering with parents, striving to develop wise and virtuous students.
Classical
We use proven, time-tested historical teaching methods that align with a child's natural developmental stages. We equip students with the tools for lifelong learning known as the Trivium (Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric). Our comprehensive curriculum is well-rounded in the study of science, math, history, literature, poetry, English grammar, spelling, writing, Latin, and the arts.
Collaborative
Students attend class on campus with trained teachers Mondays and Wednesdays. 7th grade and above attends class on campus on Thursdays, as well. On Home Days, students participate in class at home with co-teachers (parents), using provided curriculum and guided daily instructions. This allows parents to share in the academic instruction of their children, and also provides the structure and benefits of the classroom environment with professional teachers.
