Step 1: Learn
Required: Attend an Information Meeting
Required: Review the Information Packet
Additional details:
Information Meetings are the best way to find out more about the school. At the meeting you will have the chance to hear from and talk with staff and board members, browse curriculum, pick up a school information packet, meet other interested families, and ask any questions you may have.
There is usually a school tour the Wednesday following the Information Meeting. More information will be provided at the Information Meeting. Tours show what a typical day at Classical School of Dallas looks like. Tour attendees will have the opportunity to sit in on Morning Assembly, observe classrooms, and listen to a parent testimonial. There will also be a portion of time dedicated to answering your questions.
The Information Packet provides more details than we are usually able to provide during an Information Meeting. If possible, interested families should review the Information Packet before attending the Information Meeting.
Step 2: Apply
Required: One Family Application per family
Required: One Student Application per student seeking enrollment
Required: $150 Application Fee
Additional details:
The family application will require that you list someone in leadership at your church that we can contact as a family character reference.
Each incoming 1st grade and higher student application will require one letter of reference from a teacher, principal, or an academic mentor.
Each incoming student applying for grades Kindergarten and higher must complete a student academic assessment. Links and instructions for the assessments are given at the end of each student application.
The grade level cutoff date is September 1 of the fall semester. Click here for a complete age of entry list.
You may complete the applications prior to attending an Info Meeting, but you will not be considered for an interview until both parents have attended an Info Meeting.
Please note that completed applications do not guarantee an invitation to a family interview.
Step 3: Interview
If you have attended an Info Meeting and your completed family and student applications suggest a good fit with Classical, you will be invited for a family interview. Family Interviews will include both parents, the child(ren) applying to enroll in Classical, and at least two Classical staff members.
After the family interview, Classical will review your application materials and provide an admissions decision within 30 days.
Step 4: Enroll
Upon an offer of admission, an invitation to enroll will be extended along with instructions for how to enroll online and pay the $500 enrollment fee.
Regarding Mid-Year Admissions: Admission to Classical School of Dallas at any other time than the beginning of the school year has proven to be quite challenging for some families and is therefore to be considered prudently, especially for a family who may be new to classical and/or collaborative education. This is especially true for a student entering 5th grade and above. The training and equipping that takes place over the summer leading up to a new school year is essential; while not impossible for some families, it is very difficult to replicate these experiences. The admissions team at Classical will endeavor to paint a realistic picture for each family as each situation is unique. Our admissions team is happy to discuss the carefully considered possibility of mid-year admission.
