Incremental Growth - Craddock
Classical Community,
Another school year is upon us, and the Lord has assembled a genuine and joyful staff at Classical School of Dallas for 2023-2024! Sharing a week of community, vision, and training with our staff (of 47!), has been delightful and inspiring. The Lord continues to display His kindness and faithfulness through His repeated provision of His people, for His people. I’m full of gratitude and anticipation!
I’m reminded this week, as I encourage our staff, and as we eagerly prepare to welcome you back, that growth happens incrementally and consistently, right before our very eyes. When your students walk through our doors once again on August 21st, I’m confident you’ll hear echoes of, “look how much you grew this summer!” You may not have noticed it, because it has happened right before you, but our returning staff will. All of the physical growth in our kids that we fail to notice (or only notice because of the new shoes we have to buy!), happens whether we are observant of it or not.
So it will be with the growth of the mind and the soul this year.
The Lord is so faithful to grow us, and to grow our children. We may not realize it's happening, because it's so incremental and gradual. But it is. A new school year is beginning, but it is truly just a continuation of the work the Lord has already begun in each of us. Let’s commit, as a school community, to celebrate the growth that will happen this year. If an education at Classical aims to “cultivate students who love truth, goodness, and beauty and recognize Christ as the source,” let us recognize Christ as the source of all that our students achieve this year - academically and spiritually. We are given front-row seats to the handiwork of God!
See you next week!
